Goa, Jewel of India, is studded with a number of churches that remain as silent but forceful witnesses to the intense religious history of the land. During the Portuguese Rule, most of the churches were built in Old Goa. And so today, Old Goa along with its churches is a world heritage site. Each of these churches is unique in its own way, yet has certain commonness between them.
